Service Overview
Maintaining a sound rooftop is a crucial part of property maintenance. It keeps your home or business interior warm and dry from the elements. At the sign of wear or damage, schedule repairs immediately to keep water from seeping in and rotting the wood sheathing beneath. Ignoring a problem, even what appears to be a small one, may cause you to need to redo the entire roof.
Roof Material
Roofs can be made from many different types of materials, such as wood shake or composite roofing, asphalt shingles, metal, flat, foam, or single ply roofing. We also offer tile or slate options. When considering your budget, both your roof style and chosen roofing material will affect your project’s pricing. For example, shingle roofs tend to be easier to repair than slate or tile roofs.
No matter what type of roof you have, Allcon Roofing has the expertise to repair or replace all roof types.
Causes
Most roof leaks are similar in nature. Common causes for roof damage and leaks include:
- Blown off or missing shingles
- Bad or leaking pipe flashing
- Chimney / skylight step flashing
- Valleys
- Ice dams
- Low slope / inadequate roof pitch
If you notice any of these signs, call a roofing specialist immediately to get the problem fixed before further damage occurs
Finding the Leak
Allcon Roofing has a dedicated repair crew that specializes in diagnosing leak sources to prescribe the correct repairs so we perform repairs correctly the first time. In most cases our repair crew can diagnose the problem quickly. However, some leaks may require a comprehensive water test to diagnose the source of the leak. We do not do temporary patch solutions.
Some leaks are more obvious than others, whereas some leaks are evident only because of odor or wood damage. Or it may not be your roof that’s leaking but the metal flashing around your chimney or vent pipes or your gutters. Even if you think the leak is obvious, your contractor should do a thorough examination to make sure that there aren’t more trouble spots. Because of this, you may need to prepare to pay labor costs for the inspection.
